auditions:

Local choral group Camerata d'Amici is seeking new members for all voice parts. Rehearsals take place Thursday evenings at the South Salem Presbyterian Church, in South Salem N.Y., from 7:30 to 9:30.

Formed in 2006 and directed by Kristin Sponheim of Redding, Conn., Camerata d'Amici is a group of auditioned singers from Westchester and Fairfield counties. Its repertoire features a wide range of choral music, both sacred and secular and from many cultures. The ensemble has two remaining public performances in its current season: a midwinter concert on February 26 and a spring concert on May 20.

Describing the attributes of the group, Sponheim said, "Camerata d'Amici is always delighted to welcome new singers to our group. We enjoy making music together and communicating the music to our audiences."

Auditions will be held beginning in early January. Persons interested in joining Camerata d'Amici should e-mail Sponheim at kmsponheim@optonline.net to arrange an audition.
